Winter’s feel good buy… The Coat

12 Aug

I’ll take five…

How amazing does it feel when you rip the tags off your exciting new purchase and delicately place it on, pulling your hair out the collar to reveal your fabulous new buy.

Military Coat £70 Dorothy Perkins

Polar Express Coat £220 French Connection

It has got to be one of the most satisfying fashion buys ever to exist. Particularly in winter. Its new, its toasty and it makes you feel a million dollars. Yes it’s the coat we’re talking about and its going to be the centre of your look this winter.

If you have looked at my previous posts you will be more than aware that fur is going to be big this year. But I cannot contain my excitement at the new Topshop fur coats that have been released! If they don’t make you anticipate christmas then I don’t know what will.

Tweed is another fabric that is going to big this year and is easily sported in the style of a coat. Make your coat look chic and modern by adding your own waist belt and if your a bit of a rock chick, a spiked belt will add a cool edge to your look.

Coats come in all different lengths this year and the midi and maxi coats are out following the previous skirt trends this autumn. If your petite then stick to coats that fall just above the knee but tall girls can go with any length. Take advantage of the maxi and midi coat trends and throw on an amazing pair of sheepskin boots to set the look!

So if your searching for a one off piece to take you through this winter it is definitely the coat. There’s plenty out there to find your dream one!
