Although it seems to come around almost every Winter, fur has now been seen in some of the brightest designer’s fashion shows of late.
The perfect accompaniment to evening wear, fur adds a touch of glamour to outfits whilst keeping us toasty in the taxi queue after a night out. Don’t be put off by the thought of sweaty fur covering you from head to toe when its scorching outside. Fur this season is light, modern and even just a hint of fur accessorising will keep you up to date in the fashion stakes.
Elegant fur wraps, draped over metallic and sequin dresses evoke vintage glamour, whilst faux fur boots teamed with mini-dresses and black leather captures a youthful edge.
What’s even more great, is that this trend will be carried right through into the winter keeping you already ahead of the fashion wolf-packs.
Hot designer Derek Lam featured fur heavily in his Autumn/Winter 2010 Ready to Wear collection, mixing satin draped print dresses with fur gilets and leather trousers, and dresses with heavy fur and vintage style elbow gloves.
Meanwhile Dolce & Gabbana took a new twist on the fur trend, teaming hot pink fur with velvet black dresses for a whole new meaning of gothic couture.
Italian Designer Giambattista Valli showcased glamour at its best, combining snug fur jackets with gold metallic, black tailored trousers and lashings of leather.
And finally Emilio Pucci’s blue exudes 1960’s rock and roll with a patterned shirt, medallion style belt and layered fur for rebellious cool.
